 Kids for Vets is a local 501C3 run by a board of parents who are raising money to support our veterans  

•  In the past we gave money to fallen soldiers families. 
• This year we are trying to sponsor an honor flight seat
• We are also looking into other local charities to support  

Annabelle (5 at the time) got a lemonade stand for her birthday. In May 2020 her and her brother Lucas (7) made $1,000 during memorial day weekend. That year they gave the money to Thank The Seals. In July 2020 they met 5 Navy Seals and were pinned with a trident.  

 Our goal is to raise over $10,000 each year

Kids should be doing most of the interactions with people.  

•  We wanted to provide an opportunity for kids to interact with other people without technology. Covid took away so many personal interactions when we started this organization and we wanted to give kids the chance to rebuild some of those people skills. 
• Our kids did not experience 9/11/01 but we (the board) all experienced that as young adults… and we felt that importance of the service to our country. 
• This is a way to show the service members that we “Never Forget”

 Once a year we choose to celebrate all the children and their hard work. We will be having this event at Veterans Memorial in Bettendorf. We will be offering Pizza and Desert. We will have bounce houses, and activities.
